Whaleless is a project dedicated to anyone wishing to express their indignation, rage, shame, disbelief or concern in an arty way. Whaleless is on tour in european cities with site specific art exhibitions. Whaleless is an idea of Giovanni Cervi and Res Pira and is powered by the Italian Pig magazine. Oh Yeah studio was exited to contribute to this project which aim is to raise money for Greenpeace. Itís nice when art and design can actually do something good. The image is an abstract representation of the the world under water, the home of the whales. We made it into an exhibition that lasted for three weeks, hence the name. The images are divided into two series, one based on surrealism and figurative drawings , the other is based on abstract shapes. The philosophy of the late norwegian painter, Gunnar S. Gundersen, is behind all the images. Photos by Chris Johnsen. The book is a collection of thoughts, images and ideas of a new future for a small society on the west coast of Norway. The title, "Ein Annan Dans", could mean a new direction or a new way of doing something. The village has only two industries that provides work, Fundo wheels and Hydro Aluminum. Fundo had to shut down because of the financial crisis and Hydro is on the way.
